explore your creativity through photography
Every photograph we take is an expression of ourselves. At fotografica we embrace that and help you explore your own creativity through photography.
In all our photography workshops we place equal weight on the technical and creative aspects of the craft. You'll learn how to use your camera to express your creative ideas.
fotografica runs photography workshops in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.
We offer a variety of workshops and more recently have added classes specifically for phone-photographers as well a completely new workshop, conceptual photography. Get your ideas on!
Unique to fotografica, we also run gallery meet-ups where we see an exhibition and then under the guidance of a fotografica tutor, you'll make work that explores themes in the exhibition.
New classes for 2017 (coming soon) include Infrared photography, the Emotional Landscape.
In Brisbane our workshops are held at Studio 357, Stones Corner or on location. Our Gold Coast workshops run from our purpose-built studio in Burleigh Heads, which is currently being renovated and will be re-opening in September 2017.
fotografica teaching studios are all-weather venues. Workshops are limited to a maximum of 8 participants.
Every workshop you attend gives you free access to follow-up image critiques, ensuring you get feedback on your work. You also join the fotografica community and have access to client-only events such as open studio days and gallery walks and talks.
All fotografica tutors are working photographers, specialists in their chosen fields. Our tutors have tertiary qualifications in art, photography or education and tutors working in our school holiday program are current blue card holders.
