Love creative photography? Come along to our June-July 2017 school holiday photography workshops and find out more about the creative aspects of photography (with just enough of the technical to ensure you know how to get the shots you want). You'll also get a print of your best photo of the day.
This workshop is for dslr photographers. (click here to see our workshop for phone photographers)
$95 9.00am - 3.00pm pdf notes included
We begin the workshop with a brief (but not boring, we promise!) introduction to the technical side of photography - f-stops, shutter speeds, ISO, metering, colour temperatures and anything else we can squeeze in. You will learn which camera settings work for which shooting situations.
Then we cover the artistic side of image-making. We introduce the concepts of perception and sight, creative composition, story-telling and narrative, and elements of design such as line, colour and balance - with the emphasis on having lots of fun.
The day wraps with an intro to editing and printing and you will take home a print of your best photo from the day.
Skill level: suitable for all.
Equipment required: DSLR* with basic manual controls.
* Brisbane Camera Hire have generously offered to supply at no charge as many cameras as they can for those children who want to learn DSLR photography but may not own their own camera yet.
